Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 13, 2026
Overview
DingBit is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your habits are your business. This policy explains what data the DingBit app and the dingbit.app website handle and how.
The short version:The app stores everything locally on your device. The website uses cookie-free analytics. We don't sell, share, or even have access to your personal data.
The DingBit App
Data Storage
All data created by the DingBit app — your habits, completion history, streaks, and preferences — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. There are:
- No user accounts or sign-ups
- No cloud storage or synchronization to external servers
- No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs
- No data collection of any kind
Apple Watch Sync
If you use DingBit on Apple Watch, data is synchronized between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication happens directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external server.
Notifications
DingBit uses local notifications to deliver your scheduled ding alerts. These notifications are managed entirely on your device by iOS and watchOS. No notification data is sent to DingBit or any third party.
In-App Purchases
Purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. DingBit does not collect or store any payment information. Apple's own privacy policy governs how they handle purchase data.
The DingBit Website (dingbit.app)
Analytics
The dingbit.app website uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics service. Vercel Analytics collects:
- Page views and visit counts (aggregated, not individual)
- Referrer information
- Country-level geographic data
- Device type and browser (anonymized)
Vercel Analytics does not use cookies, does not track users across sites, and does not collect personally identifiable information (PII).
Contact Form
If you use the support contact form, we collect only the information you provide: your name, email address, and message. This data is used solely to respond to your inquiry and is not stored beyond what is necessary to handle your request. Contact form emails are delivered via Resend.

In practice, because DingBit does not collect or store personal data on any server, most of these rights are satisfied by default. Your data is yours — it lives on your device and nowhere else.
